SMO 3D COMFORT

A custom fabricated SMO that stabilizes the ankle to provide medial-lateral ankle support with limited plantar- and dorsiflexion. Provides stabilization to the ankle, subtalar and mid-tarsal joints. The SMO 3D is lower profile than the standard Gauntlet 3D Comfort, which extends just proximal to the malleoli.

Clinical Indications:

• Ankle instabilities

• Achilles tendonitis

• Trauma to the ankle or foot

• PTTD (Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction)

• Talocalcaneal varus or valgus foot deformity

• Mild DJD (Degenerative Joint Disease) or ankle arthritis
